Hacking Elite Come Together at Positive Hack Days 2012

PHDays 2012 is getting closer. A detailed program has already been published. Registration to the forum opened on May 14, but there were so many people willing to visit the event that all the places were occupied in 8 minutes, and thus we had to stop it. The buzz around the event was so great that we decided to carry out one more round of registration. It had barely begun, when we had to close it for the same reason.

As a result, 1,500 lucky people are going to visit the forum, and for those who failed to register or won’t be able to come to PHDays on May 30 and 31 for other reasons, online broadcasting will be organized. Please register to join those who will watch it online.

The Digital October Center will see reports and master classes of information security experts, young scientists’ presentations, competitions among hackers, as well as contests, prizes, tequila and loads of positive energy.

Speakers from 15 countries will take part in PHDays this year. There are such information security luminaries as Bruce Schneier, Datuk Mohd Noor Amin, Alexander (Solar Designer) Peslyak, Nikhil Mittal, Mercy Shelley (Alexey Andreev), Alexander Gostev, Alexey Lukatsky, Mikhail Yemelyannikov, and Andrés Riancho among them.

You will be able not only to watch the forum online but to take active part in discussions of reports communicating with the speakers via Twitter (see the details on the forum’s official website).

Besides reports, master classes and hacking battles, there will be a lot of competitions both on the forum’s platform and online. Any Internet user can partake in PHDays Online HackQuest 2012, a competition that allows not only trying hands at solving various information security tasks but influencing the results of the main battle PHDays CTF 2012. The winners will certainly receive prizes and valuable gifts.

Don’t waste your opportunity to fight against hackers from all over the world! By the way, Online HackQuest will be available for participation outside the competition within 14 days after the end of the PHDays 2012 forum.

Moreover, as part of our initiative PHDays Everywhere, dozens of hackspaces in Russia and abroad (see the full list of locations on the forum’s official website) will host everybody who are willing to dive into the atmosphere of a place where hackers hang out and at the same time watch PHDays in a video conference mode.

See you at Positive Hack Days 2012!
